An odd lot shape and flat topography created a challenge with this project from the start. Our client wanted a clean, Hampton’s style look that reflected the interior style of their home. A simple plant palette of boxwood, hydrangea, privet and crape myrtle make up the majority of plant material used in this design. Large evergreens border the property to provide seclusion from neighbors while a consistent perennial palette provides a punch of color during summer months. Drains were installed to alleviate water that was being trapped around the pool and the swing set was relocated. We used Boxwood and Privet hedges in long lines to help enlarge and reinforce what was an otherwise asymmetrical space. The beautifully detailed pool is credited to Geff Wallach and his team at Edgewater Pools.
